DUO VILLARCEAUX
At two pianos or four hands on one, the Duo Villarceaux captivates both audiences and the press with their “fiery, breathtaking, brilliantly sparkling” performance. In a variety of concerts, Alexandra Sostmann and Judith Mosch have proven themselves as artists who can combine technical brilliance and captivating temperament with sensitive artistic expression, achieving perfect homogeneity in duo performance.
Awarded the 1st prize in the International Chamber Music Competition Caltanissetta/Sicily in 1998, they embarked on concert tours throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, and various South American countries. In major music centers such as Berlin, Dresden, London, Paris, Vienna, and Lisbon, Alexandra Sostmann and Judith Mosch have played their way into the hearts of their audiences.
The Duo Villarceaux has been a regular guest at important European music festivals and has performed with renowned conductors and major orchestras.
Through their CD recordings, the duo set new standards in piano duo performance. After a temporary break during which Judith Mosch and Alexandra Sostmann pursued solo paths, they have been performing again as Duo Villarceaux since 2022.
South America
A concert tour with Matt Haimovitz through South America is planned for June 2026.
The program includes works by Bach, Schnittke, Pärt, Piazzolla, Glass and Brahms.
