Bach & now!

Our festival, Bach & now!, aims to create a new awareness of the relevance of early music as well as modern contemporary music in today’s society.

To bring this awareness to life in a creative way and to make it appealing for future generations, it is my personal mission to invite children, young people, and families to our activities, including school concerts and exciting workshops. Furthermore, I want to bring classical music at the highest level closer to a broad audience in an intimate atmosphere.

The Agathenburg Bach Days are a celebration of encounters between artists and the audience, as well as a place for exchange among listeners and workshop participants of all generations.

The festival presents a variety of musical performances, including solo and chamber music concerts, organ tours, and engaging lectures. The concerts, held in the Baroque Hall and the Horse Stable of Agathenburg Castle, allow listeners to have an intimate encounter with the artists, creating a unique listening experience.

In today’s world, I believe it is of great importance to engage socially. Community, collaboration, development, tolerance, and empathy are highly contested values that our festival stands for.

As we work towards the 2026 festival, I look forward to everything we can achieve with Bach & Now!
